Hi, I have 2 BFG 7950GT Cards All is well SLI Enabled after much to do and I am having a rather unique Problem. Let me explain my setup I use a DLP Projector for 3D Gaming with ED's 3D Glasses. now all my games so far work NP with SLI and S3D But I installed Return to Castle Wolfenstein and I have what looks like a split screen half and half horizontally and shifted to the right bottom image from the top image??

I disabled SLI (VERY COMPLICATED PROCEDURE FOR MY CUSTOM SETUP) and all was well what I need is a solution for me to acces the New Control Panel at the same time the OLD control Panel as well. I use the 163.75 main drivers along with the 162.50 Stereo Drivers, I also had to edit the registry to enable the old control panel so I can setup the 3D Stereo stuff..

I could just reedit the registry but this requires a reboot and I do NOT feel like rebooting every time to play RTCW. IS there a way I can acces the NEW Control Panel while setup to use the Old control panel Easily??

here is what I changed in the registry to get the old control panel:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies]
"ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
"TaskbarUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
"CplGroupUIPolicy"=dword:00000001

All of the Policy's where at "2" I changed them all to "1" now so I can Access the Old Control panel but there is NO Option there to disable/Enable SLI??? I did by some weird way I was able to access the Old control panel by right clicking desktop, then the new one through the Start/All Programs menu?? but it dissappeared and I forgot how I enabled it?? PLEASE there is a way to access both Old and new Control Panel but I do NOT know How or what I did too do it??

Maybe Start - Control Panel - Nvidia Control Panel switches it to the new?

This is a Single shot and as you can see there is a line in the middle horizontally I did this in paint, butI do NOT see this I just exaggerated the line to get you an idea of where I see the split.. Now the image is doubled in stereo and I see 2 different images in each eye now if close 1 eye and look through the glasses I see a different image. so say the right eye will see the top part of the split screen shifted to the righ by alot. now the left eye sees the correct image but when viewed from both eyes in Stereo it looks very wierd..

Now my solution to this as I feel there will be NO Other solution is too Disable SLI but I can NOT do that in the Old Control panel. but in the new control panel I can. So I need to know how to have both the Old nVidia Control panel and the new one at the same time as I had it like that before but it isnt there now so I can Only access the old control panel??

ok the thread is kinda old.

I know this "graphical effect" in some games this bar moves down when framerate goes down and the other way round. :shutter
Try other SLI-modes could help. (change in nvidia control center or with nhancer)
With nhancer you can deactivate SLI with one click.

In the registry I changed only
"ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001

So i can use both.

right mouseclick on the desktop = old controlpanel
right mouseclick on taskbar icon = new controlpanel

:wink:

Well Actually like I said in the above Post I do NOT see the line I just drew it in Paint to get you an Idea where the Horizontal Split Shift is.. I get a Split in the screen about where you see the black line but then the image above the line is shifted to the Right and the image below is Normal and the more I would seperate the image the more it would shift Right..

But I was able to disable SLI and all worked as normal.. But now some months later I revisited the post by chance and found you input I tried it by changing the "ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001 back to 1 it was at 2 and now like you say I can get the Old and new control Panel Thank you very much I will make note of your Post ...
