Hai there, I'm using 3d Vision and the Samsung 2233rz that came with it, with an 8800gts and lots of other unimportant things. The glasses seem amazing, the demo amazed myself and my friends. Then I threw a few games in.
Ew.

Okay, so there's very slight ghosting on very bright things. I can handle that, big deal.
But at the top of the screen, there's ... I wouldn't even call it ghosting. Just three very distinct images. It's absurdly distracting and ugly, and if I look upwards and move the 'ghosting' area to the center of the screen, all ghosting disappears.

What's up with this, and is there any way I can fix it? It's making my games entirely unplayable, it's absurdly distracting.

I discovered exactly the same thing when using the 3D vision system with an old fashioned CRT. Heavy ghosting at the top and nearly no ghosting at the bottom.

This must be a synchronisation issue. Since the emitter is no longer synchronized by a signal at the video output (which would of course perfectly be in sync) but through an USB port, the sync is purely "virtual". Unfortunatelly there seems to be no sync delay adjustment possible in the currrent 3D vision driver, even with registry hacks.

So all we can do at the moment is to hope that nvidia will include a sync delay adjustment in an upcoming driver release.

To get nvidias attention, you may post this problem in their 3D forum too:

Thanks Nobsi, so it's unfixable? Now time to look into returning these glasses :\, because they're mostly useless to me. I already posted there, with no help (of course)

Try 100Hz instead. Its a long shot but maybe it'll do something different with the timing.
