Hi

I bought these babies back in the glory days if 3dfx. I got them working under the old Nvidia s-3 drivers maybe 5-8 years ago? Back then i used a program called Eye3D activator 2.0 together with the nvidia drivers to get it to work.

Is it possible to get these glasses to work with the latest version of nvidiadrivers?

Best regards, Anders

No, those glasses will not work anymore. You'll need to buy the Nvidia 3D Vision glasses or another modern solution.

OK, thats what i suspected... thanks...

Then ill wait for better HMD's ;)

edit: 2d stuff still work, thats cool.. Is there any good free stereo movies somewhere?
I can load any AVI with side by side, interlaced or page flipping format, a/b (100%), a/b (50%), a/b (47.5%)..

There are some 3d video files here for you to test with:

Also, if you are waiting for better HMDs you might be waiting for a long time. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well the ones at consumer prices are at 800x600 at that is just too low.
Why is the intrest in steroscopic 3d so low? If it where more mainsteam im sure we would have seen better HMD's today..

I beg to differ. Interest in stereo 3d is at an all-time high in my opinion. Its just that the industry is focused on 3D monitors/HDTVs and projectors rather than HMDs. Even so, there is one popular HMD on the market: the VR920.

If you are not ready to spend the money yet, I would recommend trying out some new games using anaglyph mode (either with the new Nvidia drivers on Vista or using the IZ3D drivers). Sure its not the best but its not bad for free. You can get a nice pair of plastic glasses for around $10 and its loads better than the cheap paper ones:

Isnt the 3d visor a better choice?

Anyway, i got the movies to work with the activator and the steroscopic player from 3dtv in interlaced mode in 800x600@100hz. Is it possiblöe to use page flipping instead?

i gor page flpping to work, so much nicer then interlaced :D

If your glasses are able to run in interlaced mode there may be hope for you. The iz3D driver has an interlaced mode option ($50 but you can try for free) and that will work with modern directx games. Might just be the break you were looking for.
