Well...not THE Einstein, but very credible nonetheless! Thanks go out to MetalQueen for spotting this:
David Einstein writes a Computer Q&A for the San Francisco Chronicle, and one of his readers asked "With all the 3-D movies now coming to theaters, I was wondering whether it also will be possible to watch them in 3-D on an HDTV. And if so, will we still need to wear special glasses?"
While you can read his full answer here, the most important part of the answer was "Early adoption probably will be led by the video game industry, which already is gearing up."
For awhile now, everyone has been talking about HDI3D’s new laser TV technology. They’ve done a great job getting endorsements from the likes of Steve Wozniak, Variety, ZDNET, and more.
Why all the excitement? It’s a question of comfort, color, and resolution. Thanks to the speed of laser technology, this television is capable of projecting at 360 frames per second for each of the red, green, and blue color elements. What matters most is that on paper, the light loss should be minimal because it is a polarized technology, and the images change so fast, it should not be discernable to the eye. Very promising!
HDI Ltd. is expecting a public venue version to begin production in the new year and will be exhibiting at CES 2010. No official word yet on at-home availability. Check out Engadget’s article to learn more.

The iZ3D team has confirmed that their new glasses are in the USA and should be en-route to their offices shortly. An earlier mishap in manufacturing created a delay, but that is all fixed now.
For those unfamiliar, the iZ3D 22" monitor is a dual panel S-3D gaming solution. Unfortunately, the included polarized glasses leave a color and cross-talk imbalance between the left and right views. To overcome these challenges, iZ3D has developed a special type of polarized lens designed specifically for their monitors.

We would also like to thank NVIDIA for sending over a slew of games for testing and review. We are in the process of upgrading our systems to Windows 7, and will get cracking ASAP.
