Comments

By far the BEST rendering of Battlefield 3 so far. The light flares are disabled by DDD because the depth information needed isn't available through the DirectX path. However, all remaining features and settings appear to be intact. Strongly recommend using the dominant eye system or some of the game's weapon scopes will be difficult to aim with in zoomed mode.

    Part III: Top Level Anomalies

    Part IV: Secondary Anomalies

  • Player tags or markings associated with game characters are rendered only at screen depth, and not at the depth of the individual objects or characters.
  • QA penalty: 5% Distant markings should be rendered with stereoscopic 3D depth.
  • Weapon indicators or highlighters aren't rendering properly. Samples include flashing borders or outlines rendered in just one of two eyes, or graphics that appear to be missing in stereoscopic 3D mode. This is NOT part of the HUD - this is within the game's 3D space.
  • QA penalty: 5% The grenade indicator (orange border around grenades) is only rendered in one eye, not both.
  • The 2D or 3D skybox has minor clipping along the border in the left or right eye. It almost looks as though there aren't enough graphics to fully cover the visual space.
  • QA penalty: 5% Look at the black bar on the left and right edges of the skyline. This is a very minor error and is only found if you really look for it!
    Total penalties: 3
