Sample PicturesCommentsAttached profile for Version 2 of Witcher 2. (New) Patch 2.1 does not currently work with Ignition.
It appears that a Witcher 1 save file (if available), can be copied to the new save game folder in order to help import save, if unable to find the Witcher 1 saves. The game has a number of graphics settings for potential optimization. One interesting guide is http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22731700 (including its reference link). Using this information, I disabled "Bloom" and overrode the User.ini value for "UberSampling", setting it to 1 (in-game Configuration tool can change this, so manually override AFTER using the tool to adjust game settings). I also disabled DOF (it functions; personal preference, not scored). See attached control settings. With these settings, my 6970 generally renders game at 20-24 fps, usually at max fps. XBox360 Wireless Controller (undocumented) works very well for game - the inventory management was a little troublesome, but I was able to use Controller for all actions. Witcher 2, like the original Witcher, generates a LARGE number of save files - especially autosaves that are not deleted. To manage the growth of saved games, you may want to use the delete file feature (delete key on keyboard) introduced with update 1.2, or use a utility like http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10. To enable/disable shadows with this profile, change OSD 3D Texture Copy: OFF (enables shadows) or AUTO (disable shadows). Attached pictures show shadows on and off.
